Research Methodology
In memory of Lily — Whose last breath gave me my first real breath of life
Background
Life has a remarkable way of revealing its intentions. Isn’t that what everybody really wants to know?
Life has answered every question that I had, in the most unexpected ways imaginable. I have had the good fortune of having a fascinating life. I allowed everything to happen, except one thing - control. Control over my intentions.
I have always wanted to write. I am not even sure, why. I just did. So, here we are. Life has led me to this moment, where now I am in a position to document my findings.
On one hand you have experience, and on the other there is belief. Experience provides certainty. Belief is a concept until experienced. Now, most concepts being taught to me in school were already ‘lessons’ learnt through my experiences. They were just being expressed by categorization and labels. There seems to be a need for communication with the appropriate use of language.
So, to express my thoughts, ideas, and concepts, I have referenced some academically recognized journals and books. I have carefully chosen my references to have empirical research findings included that confirm concepts through new scientific findings.
Context
My biggest realization is that life is simply “THIS”.
There is only this. There is no that, or even that is this.
There is only the awareness of this.
The intentions of life cannot be comprehended by knowledge. Why?
Because knowledge is always based on the past. Past can only talk in terms of probabilities of the future but cannot have certainty of the outcome, until the moment has been reached when the present becomes the past, again.
To truly feel the human experience, you need to have the courage to use your own understanding that is known through life experiences.
Structure of Content
I present the human experience of life as an interplay between three main aspects that seamlessly work with each other. A framework, if you may.
Experience and the memory of having an experience.
Persona as an identity construct with a collection of specific memories stitched together to form a personal story.
Intention as the motivation to seek desires and goals.
My motivation to write about this here is to stay true to my intention of not profiting from this knowledge, but having it published on an open platform.
